Ellie Goulding – Lights US Album Cover and Introduction Interview

Here’s the album cover for the US release of Ellie Goulding‘s debut album Lights. The album will be released on the 8th of March in the US, a year after it’s successful UK release, and the recent release of Bright Lights, the re-packaged album.

Lights and Bright Lights are fantastic albums, and hopefully the US will finally be exposed to her brilliance.

Ellie is also playing at Cochella and will be back to the US for a tour, dates to be announced in the coming week.

Daily Cover: Mayer Hawthorne meets Empire of the Son’s “We Are The People” (Live at The Music Box)

Mayer Hawthorne ended his set at The Music Box a few months ago with this amazing rendition of “We Are The People”, originally by Empire of the Son. Mayer Hawthorne’s 2009 album, A Strange Arrangement is refreshing and a modern, smooth and suave sound.

It seemed like an odd choice for a cover by Mayer Hawthorne, but that’s what I love about covers – artists taking a song that you wouldn’t associate or fathom, and completely adding their stamp on the tune, and making it work. And this is a great example of that… well done.
