It’s rare for me to take notice of opening acts at shows, they generally don’t leave much of an impression on me. Grouplove (website/twitter) is an exception.
When they opened for Florence and the Machine at the Wiltern several months ago, I was intrigued. Their sound is quite different and a equal parts indie, pop, rock and different. Their stage presence was youthful and fun, and entertaining the sold out crowd.
The band released a self-titled 6 track EP. The standout track on the EP is the opening track, “Colours”:
