Ellie Goulding kicked off her latest US tour last week, and released a US version of her debut hit, “Starry Eyed”. I quite liked the original, but here’s the brand new US version…
“Starry Eyed” is a definite crowd favorite, and it’s a great lead single, but it’s not my favorite Ellie Goulding song. Her album, Lights, is full of brilliant songs, including, “This Love (Will Be Your Downfall)”, “Guns and Horses”, “Salt Skin”, “Lights”, “Human”, “Animal”… I could go on.
But my absolute favorite song… at the moment, is “Wish I Stayed”, which sadly, isn’t on the US release of Lights. Here’s a great acoustic performance….
Most of the dates on Ellie’s tour are sold-out or really close to selling out… if she’s playing in a city near you, check her out. She puts one hell of a show. I’ve seen her several times and can’t wait to see her again in a few weeks.
