You can never go wrong with a Brendan James song. Playing Favorites is his recently released album, a compilation of the great songs heard on his three albums.
This is a lovely song about love, and all the different forms it can take.
Brendan is currently working on his next record, and has a Kickstarter campaign to fund it. It’s a pretty sweet deal.
“Stay Out” by Nina Nesbitt is one of the catchiest songs I’ve heard in a while. It’s instantly familiar and has me singing along.
And then you realize her voice and her musicality. She’s also really really young. She reminds me of Amy Macdonald, Lucy Spraggan, and a hint of Janet Devlin in the way she elongates the 3rd “stay out” in the chorus. All great female singers!
I like Nina Nesbitt and “Stay Out”. Definitely looking forward to hearing more from her soon.
